Welcome House Paco, established in April 1970, is recognized as the first crisis intervention center in the country. After serving hundreds of women, children, and families in its crisis intervention program, it has transitioned into providing empowering services to individuals, families, and communities toward building violence-free communities in Metro Manila.

Heart of Mary Villa:
“She Heals”
In 1953, “Charter House” (as it was formerly known) was opened as an immediate response to the plight of young girls who found themselves pregnant out of wedlock and alone. The center became canonically established in May 1957 and was renamed the Heart of Mary Villa. For decades, Heart of Mary Villa was a place where pregnant women who have been discriminated against or made to feel worthless are welcomed and provided with time, safe space, and guidance to weigh their options.
In 2022, HMV expanded its home not just to pregnant women but to other children, girls, and women survivors of gender-based violence and in need of a safe space for healing and recovery.

Headstart Learning Center:
“A better start for a better future”
The Headstart Play and Learn is a community-based, responsive program catering to underprivileged children of Bagong Silangan, Quezon City. It is accredited by the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council to provide holistic care and development to children aged 0-5 and ensure their readiness for formal education. Since its establishment in 2004, the program has served more than thousands of children in Bagong Silangan.
The center also partners with volunteers from the community and provides them with training and assistance to be child development workers and advocates of women’s and children’s rights.

Bukid Kabataan – On their way to healing
Bukid Kabataan was originally a component of the Morning Glory Program (MGP) of Caritas Manila, the social welfare and development ministry of the Archdiocese of Manila. The MGP was created as a response to the growing number of children lured into prostitution. The increasing number of young street dwellers and the urgent need to put up a shelter for them in a long-term program paved the way for the foundation of Bukid Kabataan in 1991.
Bukid Kabataan (Youth Farm) is a home for girls who survived multiple abuse, were neglected, abandoned, or were former street dwellers. Its programs and services are directed towards healing the girls’ emotional and psychological hurts and pains while addressing their holistic development, enabling them to become productive members of their families, and society.

An offering of hope
HABLONDAWANI is a Bicol word which means rainbow, this name was inspired by the biblical story of Noah and the deluge and God’s covenant with the arc of the rainbow that LIFE takes precedence above any other thing.
The HABLONDAWANI Integrated Services for Girls and Women in Crisis is a home for girls and women survivors of abuse and those at high risk and vulnerable to exploitation. Its services focus on facilitating the empowerment and resilience of the survivors.

“Championing women’s rights”
Good Shepherd Home Legazpi started operating in 1990 working with women and girls in poor communities in Albay, Bicol Region, Philippines. It provides direct services for the protection and healing of survivors of violence as well as legal services and psychosocial and therapeutic interventions for the restoration of their dignity and social functioning through the residential care program. Its core program focuses on community-based integrated services for the eradication of gender-based violence.

Villa Maria Good Shepherd Sisters Inc. (VMGSSI):
Upholding the rights of the girls and women who are victims of human trafficking and prostitution
The Villa Maria Good Shepherd Sisters, Inc. (VMGSSI) actively works toward and contributes to the empowerment of abused and trafficked women and implements preventive work in various communities in Cebu City.
The agency has 3 centers with programs and services for women and girls who are at high risk of or have survived various forms of abuse and exploitation. The Welcome House (WH) serves as VMGSSI’s initial assessment and drop-in center for women and girls who have been trafficked and are in situations of prostitution. The Good Shepherd Home (GSH) is a long-term residential program for women and girls who are survivors of human trafficking, prostitution, and abuse including survivors of online sexual exploitation of children. Lastly, the Good Shepherd Aftercare (GS HEART) provides a holistic and empowering aftercare program towards reintegration and transformation to mainstream society.

Shepherding women and children
The Good Shepherd Counseling Center, located at the archdiocese compound in Cagayan de Oro intervenes to the needs of the children, youth, and women who are at risk and/or survivors of gender-based violence through its pastoral care program. It primarily responds to problems of women and their families rooted in poverty such as the sexual and economic exploitation of women, limited access to education, and lack of livelihood opportunities.

Good Shepherd Home for Hope – (Balay Paglaum sa Maayong Magbalantay)
A place where healing and reconciliation with self can happen
Balay Paglaum sa Maayong Magbalantay was established as a response to the need for shelter home for women and girls in Pagadian. It is a refuge for women and girls in difficult situations while undergoing healing and empowering programs.
BPMM provides temporary shelter for girls who are survivors of GBV and those in difficult situations while assisting them in their healing from trauma. BPMM facilitates the reintegration of women and girls into their families and communities and helps them reclaim their dignity and social functioning.

Envisioning a society where those who are forced to seek jobs in other countries can exercise their rights
COW Davao is committed to the empowerment of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from poor communities of Davao and surrounding areas, through community-based organizing, training, and socio-economic programs.
