Reflections for September 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The theme of the 2025 Season of Creation is PEACE WITH CREATION. It starts on September 1, World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation with the theme \u201cSeeds of Peace and Hope\u201d, <\/em>and ends on October 4, feast of St. Francis of Assisi. The 2025 World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation takes place in the Jubilee Year of Hope, which also marks the 10th<\/sup> anniversary of the encyclical Laudato Si.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isaiah 32: 14-18: The theme is inspired by this biblical text.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor the palace will be abandoned and the noisy city deserted; the fort and the tower will become dens forever, the delight of wild asses, for the city of the wanton.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen at last the spirit is poured on us from on high, then will the desert become a garden, and this garden will be free as a fallow land.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justice will dwell in the wilderness; and in the fertile land, righteousness.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justice will bring about peace, justice will produce calm and security forever.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My people will live in comfort and bliss in a land of secure dwellings and undisturbed resting places.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Hope and Action. The theme encourages faith-based hope to inspire creative action such as prayer, advocacy and community engagement rather than despair.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. \u201cGarden of Peace.\u201d This chosen symbol represents a future when justice and nature will flourish together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Call to unity. The Season of Creation invites people of faith globally to unite in prayer and action to care for our shared planet.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The Season of Creation is a month-long, annual ecumenical Christian celebration, from September 1 to October 4, dedicated to acknowledging God as Creator and Sustainer of all life. It is a time for Christians to unite in prayer and action to protect the planet, reflecting on our relationship with Creation, making commitment to ecological care, and advocating for environmental justice. The celebration serves as a spiritual journey for individuals and Churches to renew their commitment to CARING for our COMMON HOME.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
